Special Care Services
Alzheimer’s Care and other Dementia
An in-home care person for clients with Alzheimer’s Disease and/or Dementia is essential to their plan of care. Living in a location that provides comfort, familiarity, and safety may reduce the client’s symptom manifestations and improve the client’s and family’s everyday life. AidLife Home Care has caregivers who are trained and oriented one-on-one to the client’s specific needs. We, at AidLife, know that for clients with dementia, care plans must be updated regularly and provide appropriate daily activities that help stimulate physical and mental abilities. Our assessments are more individualized as we recognize the importance of environmental safety, complex medication management, and symptom management to improve a client’s quality of life.
Cancer Care
AidLife Home Care will serve as a respite for family members and is a great way to alleviate some of the pressures of family caregiving when it comes to cancer, allowing family to focus on emotional support instead of the details of daily activities. Our home care aides are more than willing to take care of errands, remind complex medication regimen, cook nutrient dense meals and special diets, accompany and transport clients to their appointments and treatments, and take clients to locations for a breath of fresh air with hopes to reduce stress.
Stroke Care
Post stroke care can be challenging for families. AidLife Home Care are able to assist in these situations and provide support. Clients who have had a stroke will have a complex medication regimen and our home care aides will be able to assist in managing this by being prompt about medication reminders. Working with a multidisciplinary team of therapists is also essential in regaining the strength of clients and our home care aides will be of great help when executing these exercises with the clients while maintaining a safe environment and reducing fall risks.
Parkinson's Care
Clients with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) have a complex care plan that involves a multidisciplinary team of experts. This means that clients may also require assistance with activities that may be uncommon for the general population of clients. Caring for clients with PD will include medication reminders, activities from various therapists, environmental safety, home cooked meal preparations, and assistance to maintain coordination and balance to maximize a client’s quality of life.
